Overview

The unprecedented nature of the current pandemic has seen Academies and Schools up and down the country show resilience, resourcefulness, and ingenuity in the most extreme of circumstances. Now more than ever, the need to make sure that our education system is stronger for the future than it has been in the past is a must.

New ideas continue to emerge, such as new platforms, new ways of teaching, new ways of being able to ensure that children from whatever background are able to benefit and this needs to continue well into the future.

The School and Academies Series is built on the premise that education should never be about standing still. Government and educators alike should always be looking at how we can innovate, how we can reform, how we can drive change that will benefit children.

Join us across three engaging days, where those present will be able to discuss and debate how we can build a stronger education system fit for all, ensuring no child is left behind.

Agenda Content and Learning Outcomes*

By embracing the real time challenges, there is an opportunity to create an education system that delivers a future fit for all educators and pupils alike. Across the three days, delegates will learn how to:

  • Ensure that they are able to innovate and raise standards for their pupils.
  • Achieve high standards of behaviour.
  • Raise the status of the teaching profession and improve the lives of pupils.
  • Create an education system in which teachers and headteachers control the levers over school improvement and parents exercise choice.
  • Evolve curriculum, assessment, and accountability structures to raise standards, increase rigour and ensure that every child – whatever their background – receives a high-quality, knowledge-rich academic education.
  • Break down the barriers to attracting teachers to where they are most needed.
  • Obtain school funding that provides teachers and headteachers with the resources that they need to continue to drive up standards in school.
  • Utilise technology to maximise the capability of the core team and support local working
  • Deliver effective governance to support school improvement and enhance learning outcomes
  • Implement an IT infrastructure that creates a positive learning experience
